The ultimate goal of escape rooms is to have FUN. It is okay to make mistakes or lose until you are having a great time with your friends.

  • Beware of Time

An hour seems to fly by when you are working in an escape room. So, it is important to keep an eye on the clock and solve clues accordingly. One excellent tip for managing time is to take a stroll through the room and look for clues in the first few minutes so that then you can work on connecting those clues.

Some puzzles might use up your whole brain others will just take seconds. So, divide your time accordingly towards these games. Don’t get fooled or waste your time on puzzles that are there to confuse you.

  • Understand the room and rules

At the start of the escape room, the host will instruct you about the game and the places which are of no use. Make a note of these places carefully. Players tend to skip this part of the game because of their excitement.

  • Communicate

Communication is the only key that can lead you to success in an escape room. And hence, communicating well with your team is very important. Talk to them about the smallest clue you found so that you don’t miss out on anything.

For example, if you find a part of the same puzzle, narrate it to the team so that you can work on solving it. This will save time and effort.

  • Stay Consistent

Consistency and a determined approach are very important when you want to solve escape rooms. You might want to lose all hopes and quit the escape room, but those are the time when you should motivate yourself to work hard. Instead of being the cranky one, try to motivate others at times of no hope.

  • Don’t spread it all over the room

The escape room is not a huge space. Most of the space is taken by clues and props. So, you and your team mustn’t scatter in the room and make it seem like a mess. Make sure that you cover one space properly before moving to the rest. This will ensure that there is space for clues and not just players colliding with each other.

These are some of the tips which you can include in your escape room experience. But remember to not pile up yourself with stress. Make sure to enjoy the escape room to the fullest!
