Difference Between Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card and Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card

In most circumstances, co-branded credit cards for shopping and fuel aren’t a good fit. These credit cards don’t give huge rewards, but they let us redirect spending away from our main card. There are, however, certain exceptions. The Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card was launched by Amazon India initially. Flipkart has launched the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card, taking a leaf from Amazon India’s playbook.

The Axis Bank Flipkart credit card is a co-branded retail credit card from Axis Bank and Flipkart that offers a variety of advantages and services, including rewards on transactions, access to airport lounges, and fuel discounts.

ICICI Bank has partnered with Amazon Pay (India) Private Limited (Amazon Pay) and Visa to offer a credit card. The card rewards method is designed to deliver earnings in the form of Amazon Pay balance for every purchase on Amazon.com and physical locations.

Here’s a detailed comparison of the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card vs the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card.

  • Joining/Annual Fee
  • Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card : The joining/annual cost for the Flipkart Axis card is Rs 500. The registration cost is mitigated with a Rs 500 Flipkart GV and a few other perks. Fees are cancelled after the second year if you spend Rs 2 lakh in a year.
  • Amazon ICICI Pay Credit Card : There are no joining or yearly fees because it is LIFETIME FREE (LTF). This simplifies the application process for qualified cardholders.
  • Welcome Benefits

  • Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card
  • Rs 500 Flipkart Gift Voucher
  • 15% cashback up to Rs. 500 on the first Myntra transaction
  • 2 Lakhs annual spend (Currently issued LTF)
  • Amazon ICICI Pay Credit Card
  • Rs 750 for Prime members
  • Rs 600 for non-Prime members
  • Features and Benefits

Both cards provide infinite points and cashback, which is a plus. The benefits are added to the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card in the form of a gift certificate. In this case, I favour Flipkart’s approach as I keep getting Amazon gift cards as rewards for other cards.

  • Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card
  • Shopping : 5% cashback for Flipkart/Myntra shopping
  • Bill Payments : 1.5% cashback for transacting through Smart Store
  • Spends : 4% cashback
  • Others : 1.5% cashback
  • Amazon ICICI Pay Credit Card
  • Shopping : 5% rewards for Prime / 3% for non-Prime
  • Bill Payments : 2% rewards for transacting through Amazon Pay
  • Spends : 2% cashback
  • Others : 1% rewards
  • Rewards on Wallet Spends

  • Amazon Pay ICICI credit card offers 1% rewards on wallet loads.
  • Flipkart Axis Bank credit card excludes wallet load transactions for cashback eligibility. This is in line with Axis Bank’s terms for all its credit cards.
  • Fuel Surcharge Waiver

Both cards provide a 1% surcharge waiver for fuel purchases.

  • Lounge Access

The only credit card that gives you access to lounges is the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card. It provides four domestic lounge trips per calendar year in India. The Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card does not provide access to any lounges.

OVERALL

The Flipkart Axis Bank credit card is superior to the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card in the following ways:

  • Cashback vs. Rewards – The Flipkart Axis Bank card rewards you with cashback. Because it is offset against the late statement, this is frequently favoured. When one uses an Amazon Pay card, the amount paid is added to the Amazon Pay balance.
  • At least 1.5 percent cashback – The Flipkart Axis card offers at least 1.5 percent cashback, but the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card offers just 1 percent.
  • Lounge Access – The Flipkart Axis card is the only one that gives you free access to the lounge.

To summarise, both the Flipkart Axis Bank and the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card are good in their own right.Having both the Flipkart Axis and Amazon Pay ICICI credit cards makes sense. Both of these cards have special perks for their respective partner businesses, Flipkart and Amazon. When it comes to selecting a card based on its connected merchants, you should keep in mind that Amazon and Flipkart are two of the most popular online retailers. Both of these platforms sell a vast range of products, including kitchen appliances, electronics, houseware, fashion, food, and more.
